THE LADDER OF UNDERSTANDING
One of the monuments that you can admire on the way to the monastery is the stone monument dedicated to Ramón Llull. The well-known ladder of understanding o The Stairway to Heaven… It is a sculpture made of eight stone blocks that represent the stone, the flame, the plant, the animal, the man, the sky, the angel and God.
THE SQUARE OF SANTA MARIA
From this you can access the monastery, the basilica and the Museum of Montserrat. The highlights of this square are the viewpoint with five arches with representations of different saints located on the right and the Gothic cloister located on the left.
