Tour from Barcelona to Madrid

This route connects some of the most attractive destinations in eastern and central Spain in just a few days, combining historical heritage, charming seaside towns, contemporary architecture, unique natural landscapes, and monumental cities before arriving in Madrid. It’s a very comprehensive itinerary, designed to allow you to enjoy the journey and discover the cultural and scenic diversity of Catalonia, the Valencian Community, and Castilla-La Mancha.

Day 1 – Barcelona, ​​Tarragona, Peñíscola, Valencia and City of Arts and Sciences

Departure from Barcelona to begin the route in Tarragona, a city with a rich historical heritage and Roman legacy that makes it one of the Mediterranean’s major cultural destinations. Next, we continue to Peñíscola, one of the most attractive coastal towns on the itinerary, known for its walled old town and the silhouette of its castle overlooking the sea. After this visit, we proceed to Valencia, where the day will conclude with a tour of the City of Arts and Sciences, one of Spain’s great contemporary icons and the perfect counterpoint to the initial historical visits of the trip. Day 2 – Valencia, Albarracín, Enchanted City and Cuenca

Departure from Valencia towards Albarracín, one of the most beautiful medieval towns in Spain, famous for its historic layout, its reddish-hued houses, and its mountainous surroundings. After this stop, continue to the Enchanted City (Ciudad Encantada), one of the most striking natural landscapes in the province of Cuenca, where erosion has sculpted a landscape of truly unique rock formations. The day will end in Cuenca, with a visit to its famous Hanging Houses (Casas Colgadas), one of the city’s most iconic landmarks and one of the most emblematic images of the trip. Overnight in Cuenca.

Day 3 – Cuenca, Aranjuez, Toledo, and Madrid
Departure from Cuenca to continue the route to Aranjuez, one of the most elegant stops on the tour, famous for its historical legacy and the imposing Royal Palace of Aranjuez, one of the great monumental complexes linked to the Spanish monarchy. After the visit, continue to Toledo, one of Spain’s most emblematic cities, where history, heritage, and the blend of cultures make every corner a unique experience. After a tour of the city, final departure for Madrid, where this itinerary, which combines coast, charming villages, nature, and some of the country’s most monumental cities, will end.
