Inside, you can immerse yourself in his dreamlike world and explore works ranging from his earliest creations to his most iconic surrealist compositions. Beyond the museum, Figueres offers attractions such as the Rambla, full of life and shops, and the imposing Castle of San Fernando, one of the largest fortresses in Europe, which offers panoramic views of the region.

Second Stop: Narbonne, history and medieval charm

We will continue to Narbonne, one of the oldest cities in France, with a legacy dating back to Roman times. We will stroll through its charming historic center, where we will discover the impressive Cathedral of Saint-Just and Saint-Pasteur, a majestic Gothic temple with dazzling stained glass windows.

We will also explore the Horreum, a fascinating system of underground galleries that served as warehouses in Roman times, testimony to the commercial importance of the city in ancient times. For lovers of gastronomy, you can optionally have lunch at Les Grands Buffets, the largest buffet in Europe, famous for its exceptional selection of cheeses, pâtés and French specialties. It is advisable to book in advance.

Third Stop: Carcassonne, the Medieval Citadel

Just 100 km from Narbonne, we will arrive at Carcassonne, one of the best preserved fortified cities in Europe. Its Cité Médiévale, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, transports us back to medieval times with its imposing walls, defensive towers and narrow cobbled streets.

We will visit the Château Condal, a fortress built in the 12th century, which offers a fascinating tour of its history and defensive system. We will also explore the Basilica of Saint-Nazaire, an architectural gem that combines Romanesque and Gothic elements, with impressive stained glass windows and sculptures. Don’t miss the opportunity to walk along the ramparts and enjoy an unrivalled panoramic view of the region.

Final Destination: Toulouse, the Pink City

Our tour culminates in Toulouse, known as “The Pink City” for the characteristic colour of its brick buildings. This city, one of the most vibrant in the south of France, combines a rich historical heritage with an intense cultural life.

During your stay, we will explore the majestic Basilica of Saint-Sernin, one of the largest and best-preserved Romanesque churches in Europe, and the Place du Capitole, the heart of the city, lined with elegant buildings and charming cafés.
