Paseo de Gracia Tour

We will start our tour in the elegant Paseo de Gracia, there we will see the masterpieces of Modernism, it includes two of Gaudí’s jewels: Casa Batló and La Pedrera (entrance included)

We will continue towards the sea, until we reach the streets of the Gothic quarter, it is the oldest nucleus of the city and its location is in the historic center of it. First we will approach the famous Boqueria market, and emblematic places of Barcelona, ​​such as Las Ramblas, the old Jewish quarter, Plaza de San Jaime and the Cathedral.

Visit to Sagrada Familia

In the early afternoon, the second part of the tour will be discovering the other side of Barcelona, ​​known as the capital of modernism thanks to the work of Gaudí. The first will be the Basilica of the Sagrada Familia, the culminating work of Gaudí, absolutely spectacular, unique in the world. Visiting its exterior we will see its different facades, very different from each other.

Finally visit the Park Güell, another Gaudí gem, declared an Artistic Monument and World Heritage Site by UNESCO. This, apart from surprising by the integration of architectural elements in nature, we will also get incredible views of the city.

Granada and its History 

The origin of the name of Granada comes from the eleventh century, it was when the ziríes moved the capital of their kingdom from Medina Elvira to Medina Garnata. The etymological meaning of this term could come from Latin, having as reference the fruit of the pomegranate granatum, or of the Arabic language gar-anat, which is “city of pilgrims“. 

The Alhambra of Granada 

It is one of the most captivating monuments in Europe, inheritance of the multicultural past of Spain. For 250 years, it was the residence of the sultans of the Nasrid dynasty and the place where they ruled the Kingdom of Granada, the last Muslim state of al-Andalus. 

In 1492, Mohamed XII, handed over the keys of the Alhambra to the Catholic Monarchs so they finished almost eight centuries of being Islamic in the Iberian Peninsula, this World Heritage monument is in perfect condition five centuries later. 

It is formed by palaces and gardens surrounded by a reddish wall occupies a hill at the foot of Sierra Nevada, the highest mountain range in Western Europe after the Alps. 

The Alcazaba 

It is the oldest part of the Alhambra in Granada. It was the defensive zone of this city, where the Army lived. It is rebuilt above the ruins of a castle of the ninth century and surrounded by walls. From its highest tower, La Vela, you can see an impressive view of the city of Granada, the Sierra Nevada mountains and the entire fertile valley at its feet. 

Royal Chancellery of Granada 

It is a building located in Plaza Nueva, in the city of Granada, in the autonomous community of Andalucía. Its construction was by order of Carlos I between 1531 and 1587 to host the Royal Chancery of Granada. 

It currently houses the headquarters of the Superior Court of Justice of Andalusia, Ceuta and Melilla. It was declared a Site of Cultural Interest and is also considered the most symbolic Mannerist work in the city. It was the first building that was built in Spain of this type to house a court of law.
