Private Tour Dalí Port Lligat House-Museum & Cadaqués

Departure at the indicated time, from your hotel. We will leave for the town of Cadaqués. Cadaqués is a charming coastal town on the Costa Brava, famous for its stunning landscapes and its connection to the artist Salvador Dalí. First, we will visit the Cap de Creus Natural Park, located in the northeast corner of Catalonia. This park is known for its impressive rocky landscape, hidden coves and spectacular views of the Mediterranean Sea.

The lighthouse, dating back to the mid-19th century, is an iconic landmark and offers an unrivalled perspective of the region’s wild nature. We will continue our tour in Cala Portlligat, a small bay near Cadaqués, known for being the home of the famous surrealist painter Salvador Dalí. The Salvador Dalí House-Museum, the residence where Dalí lived and worked for many years. The house is full of works of art, personal objects and curiosities that reflect Dalí’s life and creativity. After the visit, if we feel like it, we can opt for a light 1km walk to Cadaqués, or our vehicle will take us to the entrance of the town. Time for lunch.

Optionally, we can choose a premium restaurant specialising in fish. In the afternoon, we will take a 1-hour guided tour of the cobbled streets, where we will discover some stories and legends of pirates and Indians that will transport us to other times. We will see the Church of Santa Maria, located in the upper part of the old town, which offers impressive views of Cadaqués and the Mediterranean Sea.

Finally, we will enjoy the peaceful atmosphere on our own for 1 hour, while you wander through the small craft shops and art galleries that dot the town centre. This walk will allow you to capture the essence of Cadaqués and its Mediterranean charm. Finally, return to your departure destination.

Cadaques 

There you will find the former home of the genius of surrealist painting: Salvador Dalí. Known as the House-Museum of Portlligat , it is a set of fishermen’s huts in the form of a labyrinth that Dalí modified over 40 years to make his incredible residence-workshop a reality. Walking through the courtyard or the rooms of different sizes or seeing Dalí’s objects such as his carpets, his old furniture or extravagances such as giant eggs, an armchair in the shape of lips or a Michelin man, is an incredible experience. In Cadaqués you can also enjoy a charming town on the Costa Brava. 

Salvador Dalí Theatre-Museum 

I t is a museum entirely dedicated to the painter Salvador Dalí. It is located in Plaza Gala-Salvador Dalí, number 5, in Figueras . The Theatre-Museum was the third most visited museum in Spain in 2017, with 1,207,149 visitors, ranking 40th in its ranking of the 100 most visited art museums in the world. Due to its large influx of visitors and its commercial management, it could be the only Spanish museum that can be completely self-financed with its own income  . Managed by the Gala-Salvador Dalí Foundation. The artist left a large number of works of art to the Spanish State in his will , these were distributed between this museum and the Reina Sofía Museum in Madrid.
