This is one of the main wineries that can be visited in Priorat, since it is the oldest in the region. In its beginnings, it was the monks who produced the first wines for consumption. Priorat and its History

Located in the south of Catalonia, it is part of the regions of New Catalonia, the territory inhabited by the Saracens until the 12th century. It preserves vestiges of bygone eras that take you back in time, including the Saracen fortress of Siurana, capital of the vilayet of the same name, inland, where the remains of one of the oldest mosques in Catalonia have been found. The Christian reconquest, which began with Count-King Ramon Berenguer IV, consolidated the construction of churches and monasteries with the aim of spreading the new faith.
