We’ll begin the day with pickup from your accommodation in Barcelona and head to Montserrat, the spiritual heart of Catalonia and one of the region’s most iconic destinations. This majestic mountain range, with its impressive rock formations, rises 720 meters above sea level and is home to the famous Montserrat Monastery. Founded in the 11th century, this Benedictine monastery is a site of pilgrimage for its basilica, which houses the Moreneta, the Black Virgin, patron saint of Catalonia. During the visit, you can explore the basilica, admire its impressive architecture, and immerse yourself in the spiritual atmosphere that surrounds this place. You’ll also have the opportunity to browse the local shops within the monastery, where the monks produce artisanal products such as cheeses, honey, and liqueurs. After visiting Montserrat, we’ll break for lunch before continuing our tour. Although not included in the package, our guide will recommend excellent options. In the afternoon, we’ll head to Aitona, a charming village in the heart of Lleida, famous for its extensive cherry and peach orchards. During the flowering season, these trees paint the landscape in shades of pink and white, turning it into a unique visual spectacle. This phenomenon, comparable to the famous Japanese Hanami, is a symbol of the arrival of spring and a testament to the region’s agricultural wealth. Accompanied by a local guide, we’ll enter the private cherry orchards, where you’ll learn about the flowering process, how to care for the orchards, and the importance of Aitona as one of the largest producers of sweet fruit in Europe. You’ll be able to stroll along the trails, capturing stunning photographs and enjoying the serenity of this natural setting. At the end of our cherry blossom experience, we’ll comfortably return to your accommodation in Barcelona, ​​completing a day filled with spectacular scenery and unforgettable experiences.
