GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE DALÍ VINOS AND CADAQUÉS TOUR ⇢

We will leave early in the morning from Palamós to the city of Figueres to contemplate a unique museum in the world, with the most exquisite collections of art
and painting by Salvador Dalí, with more than 1 M visitors a year.

Figueres is the capital of the Alt Empordá region, rich for its wine cellars and its coast, with an oenological tradition that goes back to Roman times. In this place we will be part of the Empordá Appellation of origin, which passed through a transverse line from the sea to the mountain.

Just 1 kilometer from Figueras is the monumental complex of Vilabertran, a small nucleus of rural atmosphere in which one of the most beautiful and best preserved examples of Romanesque art in the Emporda is found: the monastery of Santa María de Vilabertran. This group preserves the 11th-century Romanesque church, the 12th-century cloister and the chapter house, in addition to its colorful 12th- century Lombard bell tower. Inside you can see a huge professional cross of 14th century goldsmiths.

Then we will move to Perelada, an old county town that bears the same name. Here we will visit Perelada Castle, an old Renaissance fortification, built in the 14th century by mandate of the Viscount Rocabertí. After visiting the castle, we head towards La Botiga del Celler, a place near Peralada, where we will have a tour of the vineyards and wineries, to end with a tasting of selected wines from the house.

We will approach the coastal town of Cadaqués, with its labyrinthine streets and the promenade. It maintains all the coastal flavor of the Costa Brava and its small fishing boats.

We will approach Cap de Creus, with its 1853 lighthouse and offering fabulous views of the cliff.

We will have the possibility of taking a cruise through the Bay of Cadaqués, and contemplate the Cap de Creus and the beautiful fishing coves of the coast.
Time to eat at one of the restaurants in Cadaqués. Our guide can show you the best places for it.

We will go to the small town of Portlligat, where we will visit the Salvador Dalí museum house, a more intimate experience of the artist.

We will finish touring the corners of the city.
Return and arrival at 9 PM to Palamós.
