We will head towards l’Escala, a charming coastal town that has been an important settlement since Greco-Roman times. Upon arrival, we will begin the visit to the Greco-Roman Museum, where you can explore a fascinating collection of archaeological remains dating back to the ancient city of Empúries. Here you will learn about the history of the region and the influence of Greek and Roman civilizations on local culture. The museum houses sculptures, ceramics and everyday objects that offer an intriguing insight into life at that time.

After the visit to the museum, we will head to the Anchovy Museum, where you will discover the history of this traditional fishing industry. You will be able to learn about the process of making anchovies, an emblematic product of l’Escala, and enjoy a tasting of different types of anchovies and preserved fish. This museum not only highlights the importance of fishing in the local economy, but also celebrates the region’s rich gastronomic tradition.

We will then enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant, where you can sample coastal specialties, including dishes made with fresh anchovies and other local seafood.

After lunch, you will have free time to stroll along the picturesque promenade of l’Escala, enjoy the sea views or explore the small craft shops that adorn the town.

Finally, after an enriching day of history and gastronomy, we will return to Palamós.
