PRIVATE TOUR OF GIRONA AND TOSSA DE MAR

We will start our trip from your hotel in Barcelona at the agreed time. 

Our first stop will be the city of Girona, known as the “city of the four rivers”. We will start our tour at the Stone Bridge (Pont de Pedra), an iconic place to enjoy the panoramic views of the Onyar River and the famous colorful houses that line its banks. From there, we continue to the Barri Vell, the old town of Girona, which is a labyrinth of narrow cobbled streets full of history. Here, we will visit the Girona Cathedral, known for its impressive baroque façade and for having the widest Gothic nave in the world. In addition to being a prominent setting for the series “Game of Thrones”. 

We will end our visit to the city of Girona by walking along its ancient walls. A tour that will offer you spectacular views of the city and its surroundings. The walls are accessible from several points in the old town and provide a unique perspective of how the city defended itself in times past. 

We will continue our route with a 30-minute drive to Tossa de Mar, one of the most popular destinations on the Costa Brava. Our first stop will be the iconic castle that dominates the town. Built in the 12th century to protect the town from possible pirate attacks, here you can enjoy the stunning views of the beach and the old town from the main square. 

Within the castle walls lies the Vila Vella, the only fortified medieval town that can be seen today on the Costa Brava. Walking through its cobbled streets, full of stone houses decorated with flower pots and colourful flowers, is one of the best experiences in Tossa de Mar. 

We will head to the promenade to enjoy lunch on one of the terraces overlooking the sea. 

After our break, we will have free time to explore Vila Vella and its historic centre. Its lively centre is full of clothing and souvenir shops.  

Finally, we can optionally extend our day tour with a short cruise along the Costa Brava to delight in the magnificent cliffs that give the region its name.

Finally, we will close this day of adventure by returning to Barcelona.
