PRIORAT WINE TOUR WITH 2 WINERIES

We will set off towards Priorat, one of the most popular winery regions in Spain. We will take advantage of the day to take the road towards the province of Tarragona, on the way we will see its vineyards and the production of high quality wines.

Upon arriving in the Priorat region we will begin our tour in Escaladei, where we will go directly to Celler de Scala Dei, one of the oldest wineries in the area, there we will be able to learn and discover the production process of how the wines that are sent to all corners of the world are made. They will offer us a tasting of the most interesting wines from the Winery.

In the early afternoon we will travel to the town of Gratallops known for producing high quality wines. Enjoy a quiet walk through the narrow cobbled streets of Gratallops. Explore the traditional architecture of the stone houses and discover the charming atmosphere of the village.

In the heart of Priorat, we will make a second visit to one of the local wineries, with a tasting of their wines. Gratallops has almost as many wineries as inhabitants, and we will be able to taste the wines from this one.

Return to Barcelona, ​​with one of the best experiences of wine tasting and ancient architecture.

What makes Priorat so special?

• The Terroir: Priorat vineyards are grown on black slate soils, known as “llicorella”. This geological feature gives Priorat wines a unique minerality and complexity.
• The Grape Varieties: Grenache is the king grape variety in Priorat, but other varieties such as Carignan, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah are also grown.
• The Climate: The Mediterranean climate, with warm, dry summers and mild winters, favours the slow ripening of grapes and the concentration of aromas and flavours.
